Al-Seef laboratory, managed by United Laboratories, is one of the highly equipped facilities at Al-Seef Hospital. Consistent with the hospital's commitment to 'Excellence in Patient Care', Al-Seef Lab provides high quality routine and STAT laboratory services round-the- clock , 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The lab has state-of-the-art autoanalyzers, monitored by internal and external quality control programs, and operated by highly competent and experienced staff in all fields of laboratory medicine. This includes chemistry and drug monitoring, hematology and coagulation, microbiology, serology, parasitology, blood gas and electrolyte analysis and blood transfusion services. The microbiology lab is truly unique, being equipped with the latest microbiology autoanalyzer on the market for automated microbial identification and antimicrobial sensitivity testing.

Through our affiliation to the Central United Laboratory as well as to the renowned Biomnis Laboratories in France, Al-Seef lab provides an extended menu of specialized tests guaranteeing accurate and rapid reporting of the results. The scope of the tests includes neonatal genetic screening, fertility assessment and other hormonal assays, viral markers, tumor markers, food print and allergy tests, investigations for autoimmune diseases and celiac disease and vitamin D assay.

Furthermore, an advanced histopathology and cytology lab has been added to Al-Seef lab premises to ensure the provision of a comprehensive, patient oriented laboratory service.

The laboratory computer system is connected to the hospital's system and to other satellite centers which facilitates easier and faster requests for tests, direct reporting of results and continuous access of test reports and results.
